AP4's CEO to receive Lifetime Achievement Award

AP4’s CEO Mats Andersson is to receive the Lifetime Achivement Award at Chief Investment Officers European Innovation Awards on June 2th.

Mats Andersson receives the award for his leadership of AP4 and his contribution to international projects on sustainable investments and climate change.

When Mats started as CEO at AP4 in 2006, AP4 had SEK 180 billion under management and was the smallest of the four buffer funds (AP1-AP4). Today AP4 has SEK 310 billion under management and is therefore the largest fund of the AP-funds.

Mats, and AP4, was also one of the co-founders of the Portfolio Decarbonization Coalition (PDC). PDC’s aim is to get investors worldwide to measure and disclose their carbon footprint and to reduce their carbon footprint. The target was to achieve assets under management, using various decarbonization strategies, of at least USD 100 billion by the climate meeting, COP-21, in Paris at the end of 2015. PDC surpassed the goal and had managed to gather almost USD 600 billion.
