Hollande highlights decarbonization and green bonds

During this week’s Business and Climate Summit in Paris, the president of France Francois Hollande emphasized in a speech how important it is that the financial sector decarbonize its investment portfolios.

He also pointed out the importance of boosting the issuance of green bonds to finance investments in renewable energies.

As an example, French President Francois Hollande also made a reference to the PDC commitment as a part of his call for the rest of the finance sector to follow suit.

PDC is a multi-stakeholder initiative between AP4, UNEP FI, Amundi and CDP that will drive GHG emissions reductions on the ground by mobilizing a critical mass of institutional investors committed to gradually decarbonizing their portfolios.

AP4 had two participants at the Business and Climate Summit.
