AP4's CEO Niklas Ekvall attends the G20 Investor Forum

Press release
AP4 CEO Niklas Ekvall has been invited to attend the Investor Forum that is part of the G20 meeting this week in Buenos Aires.

The Investor Forum aims to identify concrete actions for how to scale long-term investments for sustainable development.

Niklas Ekvall, CEO of AP4, comments:

  • It is gratifying that AP4 has been invited to participate in the G20 Investor Forum. We are happy to contribute with our experience in order to promote long-term sustainable investments. AP4 has long experience as a responsible owner and we have made low carbon investments since 2012.
  • For long-term investors like AP4 it is a necessity to both manage risks and capitalise on opportunities associated with the shift to a sustainable world.
  • Also, the political decision-makers’ ability and decisiveness to create broad international accords and rules — such as relevant pricing of CO2 emissions — will be entirely decisive in the work on steering towards more sustainable development. In all actuality, investors’ assessments of both risks and opportunities are based on an expectation that the political system will succeed in taking its responsibility.
  • I am therefore looking forward to the G20 dialogue between political decision-makers and institutional investors in order for us to together contribute to a sustainable development.
