Mats Andersson appointed president of AP4

The Board of Directors of the Fourth National Swedish Pension Fund has appointed Mats Andersson as new President of the Fund.

Mats Andersson is 52 years old and a graduate in economics and business administration. He is currently employed as Chief Investment Officer at Skandia Liv, which has asset management of nearly SEK 270 billion. His earlier positions have included working as a portfolio manager and with ownership matters for the Third National Swedish Pension Fund. He has also held leading positions with Deutsche Bank, S.G. Warburg and Hägglöf & Ponsbach. For seven years, he was stock exchange editor of and partner in the Swedish business magazine Affärsvärlden. His starting date will be decided later.

Mats Andersson succeeds Thomas Halvorsen, who is retiring as planned. Thomas Halvorsen has served the Fourth National Swedish Pension Fund for 23 years, 13 of which as President.
